• The SIL archive of public SGML/XML software
• The Whirlwind Guide to SGML Tools includes some free tools
• James Clark's Home Page, including the SP, DSSSL and Jade pages.
• Dave Megginson: software, XAF.
• SARA (SGML Aware Retrieval Application). Client-server tool to allow remote queries of a central database of texts. Developed for the BNC.
• Article on XML/SGML to HTML translations, complete with sample code.
• RTF to *ML: rtf2xml (requires Omnimark), rtf2html (not free).
